Overview

Palacio de Hierro installation: 200+ AI-generated illustrations animated via ComfyUI, shaping a Japanese-inspired video world through collaborative direction and production.

For a special installation at Palacio de Hierro, we produced a large-scale AI-driven visual piece built from the ground up through ComfyUI—creating and animating over 200 bespoke illustrations that collectively form a cohesive, Japanese-inspired video narrative. The goal was to achieve a distinctive aesthetic with enough variation to feel alive, while maintaining strong visual consistency so the final output reads as a single authored universe rather than disconnected generations.

Our work combined art-direction-led exploration with repeatable, production-ready AI workflows. We designed a pipeline that enabled rapid iteration on style, characters/graphic motifs, and composition while preserving continuity across the full set. From there, we developed animation strategies that translate still imagery into motion—using controlled transforms, temporal coherence techniques, and curated sequencing to keep the piece fluid, polished, and install-ready.

This approach allowed the team to move fast without sacrificing craft: a scalable method for generating high volumes of on-brand visuals, then shaping them into an animated video deliverable suitable for a premium retail environment. The result is a visually rich installation asset that merges contemporary AI capabilities with a carefully guided aesthetic language and collaborative production standards.
