Meta x Magallanes

For “Cuaderno Desbordado,” an interactive exhibition by CENTRO and artist Alejandro Magallanes in collaboration with Meta, I designed and developed a set of promotional Instagram AR filters that translated the exhibition’s spirit into an accessible, shareable digital format. The objective was to preserve Magallanes’ distinctive visual language while creating lightweight, responsive experiences that work seamlessly on mobile and invite audience participation beyond the physical space.

Using Spark AR as the real-time engine, I built the interactive logic and optimized performance for social delivery. Blender and Cinema 4D were used to model, animate, and export 3D elements that complemented the artwork without overpowering it—keeping the experience playful, art-forward, and immediately readable in the Instagram camera. The final filters expanded the exhibition’s reach, encouraged active engagement, and demonstrated how AR can function as a bridge between cultural institutions and everyday digital behavior—turning art viewing into a participatory moment that travels through social sharing.
